Reassurance ... Reflection ... Recreation ... Renewal

Your two week retreat begins with a candlelight dinner at the MLC facility on Sunday evening where you will enjoy the company of other ministry couples (four couples maximum).

The weekday mornings start with a sumptuous breakfast at 8:30 a.m. followed by group therapy, unless you have reserved a private Retreat in advance.

You will ease into this process guided by a experienced and capable pastoral counselor. Together in faith looking to the Holy Spirit to guide us, we will explore your world in ministry and your vital relationships with God, self, and your spouse.

Wonderful things happen when the Lord's servants interact together in His presence.

The common vocational bond with its unique stresses, hazards, and sometimes painful wounds, provides an arena in which care, encouragement, acceptance, and affirmation are openly exchanged between retreat participants. Many participants freely laugh and cry with one another in the group process. Along the journey as the participants get to know each other and become more comfortable with each other, the pastoral counselor will interject brief interactive teaching times that examine ministry stresses and hazards that may be impairing ones' vital relationships. All this is facilitated in an orderly, professional, Christianly manner.

The group time ends around noon each day with a simple lunch meal together at the MLC facility.

Most afternoons and evenings you will have free time to spend as you wish. Some will meet individually and/or as a couple with our pastoral counselor. Others may wish to engage in proactive rest by participating in the abundant seasonal recreational opportunities available in the June Lakes and Mammoth Lakes area. Your private suite in the adjacent lodge near the MLC facility has a fully equipped kitchen for your evening and weekend meal convenience.

There is plenty of time to relax, think, pray and reflect.
